Michael De Santa, formerly known as Michael Townley, is the central protagonist of the 2013 action-adventure game Grand Theft Auto V. A retired bank robber, Michael now lives in Los Santos with his wife Amanda and their two children, Jimmy and Tracey.

Despite his criminal past, Michael is a loving husband and father. He is fiercely protective of his family and will do whatever it takes to keep them safe. However, he also has a dark side. He is quick to anger and often resorts to violence to solve problems.

Throughout the game, Michael struggles to reconcile his two sides. He wants to be a good man, but he is haunted by his past. In the end, he must decide what is truly important to him.
