In Resident Evil 7, Ethan Winters, the game’s protagonist, succumbs to the Molded outbreak within minutes of arriving in Louisiana. However, Clancy Jarvis, a minor character, remains uninfected throughout the ordeal. The reason behind Clancy’s resistance is never fully explained, but it’s widely speculated that he possesses a natural immunity to the disease. This is further supported by the fact that Clancy is later exposed to more Molded and still does not succumb to infection.
